Healthcare can be complex. This is especially true when you are trying to explain medical procedures, products, or services to the general public. Making this information both engaging and easy to understand can prove quite a challenge. This is where healthcare animation videos come in. Here to bridge that gap!

Animation has the power to take complex information and make it simple, relatable, and, dare we say, more fun. Whether it’s for promoting your services, educating patients, or training staff, animation can be a real game-changer for your healthcare business.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the ways animation can make healthcare more accessible, and what that means for your brand.

Healthcare Animations Videos

Explainer videos are an excellent way to get your message across in a way that doesn’t leave your audience scratching their heads in confusion.

These videos, in particular, break down complex concepts by presenting them through engaging visuals and easy-to-understand information. This is what makes them perfect for the healthcare sector.

But it’s not just about simplifying the message. It’s about making it resonate too.

Here are just some of the ways animation can be effectively used in healthcare…

Promoting Your Healthcare Services

Your product or innovation may be the best thing since sliced bread. But if no one knows how to use it or how it benefits them, it’s likely to fail.

This is a common challenge in the healthcare industry where many products and services can be difficult to grasp straight off the bat, especially in sectors like healthtech.

You may have created the next big thing, revolutionary new app, helping daignose people’s ailments through AI, let’s say. But if no one knows how it works or how to use it then you’ve got a problem.

Animation allows you to showcase your unique offerings in a way that people can understand and get on board with. Which will help your brand stand out in a very crowded and competitive market.

Educating Your Patients

Healthcare animation videos are fantastic for helping patients understand complex medical information and advice without being overwhelmed with info.

This is particularly valuable when you need to explain the nuances of particular treatments, medications, or diagnoses to patients in a way that makes sense. This, in turn, inevitably leads to better patient health outcomes.

Training Your Staff

Animation is perfect for staff training and skills development. Who wants to sit through hours and hours of uninspiring PowerPoint presentations when you can watch an animated video instead?

It makes staff’s learning both more enjoyable and effective. Complex procedures and protocols can be broken down into simple, visual steps that are easier to understand and remember, which is great for staff – and their patients too.

Leveling Up Your Campaigns

Awareness campaigns are a major part of the healthcare industry. These types of marketing campaigns are very effective in helping communicate crucial healthcare issues and advice to the masses, from disease prevention and vaccination awareness to making healthier lifestyle choices. But they have to be engaging to work.

Animation can drive home important health messages in an incredibly impactful way. Why? Because they engage viewers on an emotional level, making the information more memorable and more likely to be put into action.

While healthcare is a serious field, after all, it deals with people’s lives, it doesn’t mean that your marketing has to follow suit.

Unfortunately, we see many healthcare brands fall into the trap of being too stuffy and sterile.

Animation gives your healthcare messaging a bit of personality, making it not only more engaging but much more effective.

Here at TAG we’ve worked on countless healthcare animation videos and projects, helping businesses and organisations of all shapes and sizes drive awareness and improved results with our creative expertise. That’s what makes it one of our favorite sectors to work in.

With that in mind, let’s take a trip down memory lane.

From educational campaigns and mobile games for the NHS to a 3D particle animation for Parkinson’s UK, here’s a look at some of our favorite past healthcare projects.

Mobile Game Supporting NHS during COVID-19

We wanted to show our appreciation for NHS frontline workers during the height of lockdown.

So, we teamed up with game design studio Zap Pop Pow to create an ever-so-addictive NHS mobile game.

Not only did it help raise awareness for the younger generation about the amazing work NHS workers do day in and day out, but it directly supported frontline workers by enabling people to donate on the app. Check it out.

Accessible Healthcare Through Augmented Reality

Telstra Health, formally known as Dr. Foster, wanted to make an impact by introducing their innovative new dashboard software to attendees at an industry event – but with a twist.

To do this, we created an augmented reality animation that could be viewed on people’s mobiles, simply by scanning their business card. This clever marketing campaign allowed them to effectively explain their new product in a way that grabbed attention and negated the need for a long drawn-out pitch. Handy, huh?

Driving Awareness for Parkinson’s on London’s Biggest Stage

With 140,000 people in the UK living with Parkinson’s, we were honored when the charity Parkinson’s UK came to us to create an animated advert for their Me, My Brain, and I campaign.

The campaign was featured on the iconic screens of London’s Piccadilly Circus. We used  particle animation to demonstrate the disease’s impact on the brain, driving more awareness around the effects of this debilitating disease.

Educational Animation For the NHS

For this project, we worked in partnership with Health Education England to create a cute and colorful educational video for the NHS. The animation was screened at NHS workshops across the UK. It was created to explain to staff how a newly created position would help them provide more patient-centered care.

An Explainer Video with a Difference

Kawasaki disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children in the UK.
We teamed up with charity Societi to create a video to spread awareness about this little-known illness that affects so many children’s lives. The emotional core of this video made a real impact, helping to educate more people about the disease.

Making healthcare more accessible to all is incredibly important. It quite literally can save lives and at TAG, we are proud to be a part of that.
