It already feels a bit late to be speaking about 2024, but how can we not look back and share our thoughts on the year that has just passed. The Animation Guys had an incredible year in 2024, pushing creative boundaries and delivering high-impact projects for a diverse range of clients.

From engaging social media content to compelling charity campaigns, the studio’s work demonstrated both technical innovation and storytelling excellence.

This year’s projects reflected our ability to craft visually stunning, emotionally resonant, and purpose-driven animations. As we look back at 2024, let’s explore some of the standout projects that defined the year as well as some of our team’s favourites.

One of the most visually striking projects of the year was a dynamic animation created for Vita Coco, an iconic and modern brand in the food and drink industry. Designed to enhance their social media presence, this animation combined playful, vibrant visuals with an infographic approach to effectively convey the brand’s key messages.

By utilising bold colors, smooth transitions, and engaging motion graphics, the video successfully captured audience attention and increased brand awareness. This project highlighted our expertise in producing content tailored for digital platforms, ensuring maximum engagement and impact.

Working within the healthcare sector, we collaborated with Unmind, a leading workplace wellbeing platform, to produce a compelling animation series on “Neurodiversity at Work.” This project was particularly notable for its inclusivity, featuring a diverse range of characters that accurately represented various neurodivergent individuals.

By breaking down complex psychological concepts into an accessible and engaging format, the animation helped managers and employees better understand how to support neurodiverse colleagues. This piece exemplified our ability to balance technical accuracy with creative storytelling, ensuring that vital healthcare messages reached and resonated with the right audiences.

In collaboration with Kick It Out, an organisation dedicated to combating discrimination in football, the team produced a series of 2D animated explainer videos addressing sectarianism.

Using a bright neon color palette and a clear, intriguing narrative, these visuals successfully simplified complex historical and cultural issues into digestible content. By making the subject matter accessible and engaging, this project highlighted our ability to deliver animations that not only educate but also inspire meaningful change.

The storytelling approach ensured that viewers connected with the message, making it a compelling tool for raising awareness and garnering support for charitable initiatives. This project was another prime example of how animation can be used to drive social impact and is something our team we are proud to work on and feel part of.

One of the most exciting projects of 2024 was our collaboration with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants to promote the opening of five new locations at Bishopsgate 22. This 3D Fake Out of Home (FOOH) animation was designed for social media and featured an eye-catching visual of helicopters lowering a giant chef’s shirt onto the building.

The hyper-realistic 3D animation captivated audiences and became viral, accumulating nearly 5 million views on Instagram and 3 million on TikTok! The project’s success demonstrated the studio’s ability to merge cutting-edge digital art with real-world settings to create visually stunning and highly shareable advertising content.

We created an inclusive, character-driven animation for NHS Lincolnshire to enhance knowledge and empower patients and caregivers alike, as part of the NHS England Personalised Care Agenda in Cancer.

This upbeat and inviting piece transformed intricate medical information into clear, digestible content, making it an invaluable educational tool.

The target audience for this medical education animation was not only patients exiting the cancer care ward but also their carers, making it crucial that the message was clear, accessible, and sensitive to the emotions involved in such a transition.

With smooth motion graphics and a well-structured narrative, the video helped healthcare professionals and patients alike better understand key topics.
